Abstract:
Natural mineral water Crni Guber belongs to highly mineralized iron-arsenic waters, which can be used for therapeutic purposes. In order to determine a more precise and accurate method for determining iron, a comparison between ICP-OES and the spectrophotometric method was made. For analysis by the ICP-OES method water samples were prepared with the same and different dilutions compared to the samples for analysis by the spectrophotometric method. The G-test was used to check the existence of outlier values in the obtained results, and the precision and accuracy of the method was checked using F-test and t-test. The mentioned tests showed that the spectrophotometric method was more precise and accurace when the samples were prepared with the same dilution. When analyzing samples with different dilutions, the spectrophotometric method proved to be more accurate, while in terms of accuracy there was no statistically significant difference between methods.
