Abstract:
This paper focuses on the ecourbararchitectural use implementation of recyclable materials in the design and construction of facade planes of residential and public buildings. The presented examples of buildings from different parts of the world show an important step forward in the re-use of carefully sorted materials such as plastic, metal, glass, paper and similar, which makes it is possible to create a new narrative for an ecologically healthy and friendly environment. In the citybuilding-cultural and artistic-formal approach, compositions of façade planes with recyclable materials promote a contemporary visual-aesthetic synthetic environment where the intention of the designers is to change the stereotypical identity of micro-ambient urban units. New creative facades bring about an altered geometric and design-material sensibility to users of mostly monotonous spaces. They indicate a different understanding of architectural values and the suppression of already seen, outdated material structures. Facade planes made of recyclable materials confirm the thesis that nowadays it is necessary to search for new ideas and artistic-design narratives, potentially attractive solutions with rational implementation of already used materials and to discover their different transformational properties.
