Abstract:
This lecture will provide the information on the contemporary achievements in the photothermal and photovoltaic conversion of solar radiation. In the part regarding photothermal conversion of solar radiation the attention will be paid to the low temperature, middle temperature, and high temperature conversion of solar radiation. In the part regarding photovoltaic conversion of solar radiation the information on the types of solar cells and their application in Serbia and worldwide will be provided. Furthermore, the information on the scientific-research centers and laboratories in solar energy in Serbia will be given. Special attention will be devoted to the equipment and the achieved results in the Solar Energy Laboratory at the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Nis.
